This is a huge storm. You can see right here on the satellite images. This is the size of the storm. This is Taiwan right here. (雙手比著台灣頭尾) So the cloud coverage is huge. It has actually doubled its size over the last two days.

颱風距離台灣還有240公里遠，CNN氣象專家Kevin Corriveau到底說些什麼？
他有說這是超等颱風嗎？他有說這不是中度颱風嗎？以下是天成翻譯公司聽打他申明的內容：

There is going to be extreme amount of rain there. There are already seen over 400 mm of rain on a certain part of Taiwan. We expect to see anywhere between 400,(and) 500.

So there’s going to be seen extreme flooding, especially down toward the south. We will keep you posted.

Saturday morning is going to be a very bad morning. That’s when we expect to see landfall for this storm.
最後，台大教授陳泰然說「誰敢一最先就把颱風的雨量估到兩千，拿科學來由說服我！」其實今後見之明來看，其實就是說若一個人能事前科學地預估颱風的雨量到兩千，必定是能考慮到颱風撞上中心山脈後會漸漸走，又引進很多西南氣流等等。那若他有這本領，必定是有科學的來由猜測工作會如許産生。而事前，沒有人能有科學的來由猜測事情會如許産生，那就不要怪氣象局了。
